Because of the two dreams, Joseph's brothers decided to kill him and eventually sold him to be a slave in Egypt. The dreams were shaping his destiny.<br /><br />What we can learn from story is that prophetic dreams do exist because we know from the bible that the dreams came true at the end. Sometimes prophetic dreams are easy to interpret. Just like these two dreams, people listened to them immediately reacted which means he knew the meaning behind the dreams. But what we also learn is that the fact that you had a prophetic dream from God does not necessarily mean that you should tell everyone else. Sometimes God meant to give you insights so that you can be humble and obey God. Like Joseph, I think God gave him the dreams to encourage him to endure. But out of pride, Joseph told the dreams and brought terrible results.
